Dudick – A Division of Carboline

In 2021, Carboline announced the acquisition of Dudick, Inc. Dudick is a world leader in high-performance coatings, flooring, and tank linings headquartered in Streetsboro, Ohio. For over 50 years, Dudick has provided solutions in corrosion resistance and chemical containment systems for food processing, steel production, chemical processing, pulp and paper, electronics, power, and biological research labs.

This webinar will address the proper methods for treating cracks and joints in concrete on floors coated with high-performance coating systems. It will start by outlining the surface preparation standards required for repair work to begin before moving on to discuss various cracking scenarios and the recommended repair method(s) for each. Discussed topics will include keying in a joint, use and selection of backer rod, why not to use sand, and types of fill material. The webinar will also offer guidance on when a maintenance manager should enlist the assistance of an outside resource vs. when they can easily handle these repairs themselves.

At the end of this program, participants will be able to:

• Know how to properly prepare cracked concrete surfaces for repair;
• Understand the best method for repairing concrete based on the cracking scenario; and
• Recognize when to seek outside assistance for repair work.
