This webinar will present the findings from a failure investigation that was associated with the failure of coatings applied to partially galvanized structural columns. The columns were used for an expansion at a petrochemical facility. The design had the lower column sections inside of an interior controlled environment. These lower portions were not included in the hot-dip galvanizing process and received a standard shop primer for structural steel. The investigation and solutions to avoid such failures in the future are discussed.
