This program will give attendees an understanding of the benefit and procedure for overcoating aged metal cladding and roofing with a high-performance coating system. The presentation will cover the reasons for overcoating, the necessary surface preparation, and the differences in the coating technologies available on the market. The closing will showcase case studies of wall and roof projects overcoated with high performance coatings. Participants are eligible for one AIA LU-HSW credit.

Learning Objectives:

• Discuss coil-coated roof and wall panels and why they are widely used
• Explain the generic types of overcoating options available for coil-coated roof and wall panels, including FEVE fluoropolymers
• Provide information on surface preparation and application requirements when overcoating
• Introduce system (primer/intermediate/topcoat) options for overcoating previously coated roof and wall panels and learn through showcase of case studies on roof and wall panels coated with high-performance coatings


Jennifer Gleisberg, Inside Sales Manager, Eastern Region

Jennifer Gleisberg is the Inside Sales Manager for Tnemec's Eastern Region. She is responsible for providing agency assistance by driving engagement through leads and customer information. Targeting prospective leads by means of campaigns and project focus allows her to provide strategic sales assistance to Tnemec representatives in the Eastern U.S. Through these sales strategies Tnemec sales representatives are able to connect with key firms, companies and individuals to identify opportunities for new relationships and business.

Jennifer is involved with several industry organizations, including the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Gleisberg is NACE Level I Certified, holds a CSI Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) designation, and is also a USGBC Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate.

Cory Brown, Vice President of Technical Services
Tnemec Company

With over 20 years in the coating industry, he offers expertise in employee training and management, technical writing, product development, operations, and competitive analysis. Cory understands the critical role of technical service representatives in ensuring that contractors, engineers, architects and building owners understand product application procedures.

Brown is a certified coating inspector with NACE International, and is active in the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC).Prior to his current position, Brown served as Director of Technology Integration where he directed various departmental resources related to product research and development. His experience includes seven years as a senior technical service representative and five years as a production supervisor responsible for managing daily operations of three departments at Tnemec. Brown graduated from Park University in Parkville, MO with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
