AGC Chemicals - Lumiflon

LUMIFLON® resins were developed by Asahi Glass in 1982 as the world’s first solvent-soluble fluoropolymers. In the past 25 years, fluoropolymer coatings based on LUMIFLON® resins have been produced by paint manufacturers around the world, and applied to over 150,000 structures. The use of LUMIFLON® resins offers substantial life cycle cost savings compared to conventional coating technologies.

This webinar discusses the use of fluoropolymer resins for powder coatings. Fluoropolymer chemistry is quickly covered, along with a discussion of this chemistry’s unique advantages as well as its drawbacks. The presentation provides weathering and performance comparisons with other coating types, and discusses overall life cycle cost considerations. Participants are eligible for one AIA LU credit.
