Kalcor has partnered will Arkema in the commercialization of coatings using the Kynar® Aquatec resin system for a successful applications.

Kynar®

Arkema proudly offers Kynar 500® FSF® and Kynar Aquatec® PVDF technology for use in superior performance coatings. Celebrating over forty-five years of proven protection, Kynar® resin-based coatings provide protection against weathering, aging, and pollution on commercial, industrial and residential buildings worldwide and are the original key component of sustainable design.

The demands on coatings for exterior architectural and building products continue to become more difficult. Not only do today’s coatings need to look great, they need to perform for a considerable time while resisting fading, chalking, peeling and deterioration. Other properties such as environmentally friendly materials, better adhesion, improved scratch and mar resistance, solar-reflectivity, clean-ability, or ease of application -- along with constant pressure to keep cost down has prompted chemists to develop new coating technologies that meet these challenges.

This webinar examines the success of adapting proven KYNAR® PVDF resin-based metal coating technology into new applications in the exterior building product marketplace. The advent of water-based KYNAR AQUATEC® latex provides an eco-friendly solution without compromising curb appeal or exterior durability.

We examine how coatings can be formulated for different substrates (such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, composites, asphalt and cement) and various products (like siding, windows, doors, roofing, decks, railings and trim) that demand specific properties (including color, gloss, flexibility, abrasion resistance, or low heat build) for both factory and field applied coatings.

Attendees will come away with a better knowledge of the wide range of coating options available, how to prepare a comprehensive specification and technical advice for selecting the most appropriate solution for their project.

KYNAR® and KYNAR AQUATEC® are registered trademarks belonging to Arkema Inc.
