This webinar will discuss some of the laboratory test methods used for developing a performance-based protocol for qualifying coatings in aggressive environments. Test methods to be discussed will be cathodic disbondment resistance, Atlas Cell testing and high temperature/high pressure autoclave exposure. Although many of the methods are commonly used in the oil and gas industry, the methods have wider application across a range of industries including marine, railroad tanks and water/wastewater.
Attendees will learn:
Why performance-based testing should be used for qualifying coatings;
What laboratory test methods are commonly used to evaluate the performance of coatings in aggressive environments; and
What factors to consider when selecting between the various specifications such as ASTM, ISO and NACE for each test method.
