Tim Schaffer, Key Account Manager - North America Rail

Tim Schaffer is the KAM - NAM Rail for AkzoNobel, representing the International protective coatings range and has more than 36 years of experience in the rail industry. Schaffer has performed various roles in the rail industry such as abrasive blaster, coating applicator, coating inspector, plant manager, and VP - Coating Operations. He is a NACE Certified Coating Inspector - Level 2. He joined AkzoNobel in June 2017 and his role is to provide environmentally friendly, high-performance railcar coating system solutions to owners, lessees, lessors, manufacturers and repair facilities.

Ken Campbell, Segment Manager Transportation of Chemicals

Ken Campbell is the Segment Manager Transportation of Chemicals for AkzoNobel representing the International protective coatings range. Campbell has more than 36 years in the coatings and coatings-related industry—more than 20 of which have been specific to the North American Rail Industry. He has held various positions in application, manufacturing, technical service and quality assurance for coatings. Campbell has been involved in setting coatings and corrosion mitigation strategies to support regulatory requirements, asset preservation and customer specifications. He holds a City & Guild qualification from the U.K., attending Robert Gordon's Institute of Technology School of Mechanical and Offshore Engineering. He is currently a NACE Certified Coatings Inspector.
