This webinar is a panel discussion that shows how equipment can help contractors overcome challenges. Topics in this discussion include how surface preparation techniques have changed over the years, common mistakes that contractors make, and where exactly responsibility lies with regard to worker safety. Originally presented on Nov. 9, 2017 at Technology Publishing Company's Contractor Connect event, this panel discussion was moderated by J. J. Peter Ault, President
Elzly Technology Corporation
J. Peter Ault has more than 25 years of industry experience and is an active member of several technical societies, including SSPC, ASTM, NACE International, ASNE, SNAME and NPSE. He is a registered professional engineer in New York and New Jersey and holds coatings specialist certifications from both SSPC and NACE. Ault has a BS in mechanical engineering and an MBA from Drexel University.
Darrell Domokos, Director of Equipment
Darrell started his scaffold career with Safway
in 1981 and has held a number of functional
and operational positions with Safway,
domestically and internationally in the
commercial and industrial markets. Currently,
he is the chairperson for the Scaffold and
Access Industry Association’s Industrial Council.
Clay Miller, Territory Sales Manager
Clay has worked in the coatings industry for nearly 25 years, the last nine in his current position at Clemco Industries. Prior to Clemco, Clay worked as a territory manager for a safety-products manufacturer and as vice president of sales for an abrasives and equipment distributor in Birmingham, Alabama. Clay is quality safety sales professional (QSSP) certified and conducts Clemco’s safety training courses. He also has extensive knowledge of finishing equipment for the manufacturing, protective, and marine industries. Clay is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and graduated from the University of Alabama. He currently resides in Marietta, Georgia. When not fulfilling his business responsibilities, Clay enjoys spending time at the lake with his wife, Lani, and their 7-year-old son, Davis.
Bob Nash, President
Greener Blast Technologies
Bob got involved in the surface preparation
community after spending a majority of his professional career as a construction supervisor. After a short time in sales, he quickly learned the industry’s wants and needs. From there Bob decided to take a chance and opened Greener Blast Technologies, Inc., which has since grown into
the global blasting market.
Nate Wayne, Sales Representative
Industrial Vacuum Equipment Corp.
Nathan Wayne is a sales representative for Industrial Vacuum Equipment Corporation. He has worked from the ground up learning all areas and equipment of the trade. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Stout in business 13 years ago and is
recently engaged. When he isn’t glued to a desk, he enjoys spending time with his family, snowmobiling and doing anything outside.
Chris Keenan, Operations Manager
Has a decade of experience as a blast and paint contractor and now on the other side as
an equipment vendor, his position involves helping
contractors estimate and execute their plans within their budget.
