CHLOR RID

CHLOR RID International, Inc. is the world leader in soluble salt information, measuring devices, and decontamination products for surface preparation. A major cause of premature coating failures are remaining surface salts which are not detected or treated prior to coating application. The CHLOR*TEST ‘CSN’ kit accurately and easily detects the presence of residual chloride, sulfate, and nitrate salts on the surface which are prevalent in the water and wastewater processing industry. CHLOR*RID liquid soluble salt remover is recognized as the most effective, easiest, and economical tool for removing surface salts to meet stringent job specifications. Visit www.chlor-rid.com for information on any of our products, or contact us at 1-800-422-3217.

The coatings industry is becoming more aware about the impact of soluble salts, a leading cause of premature coating failures. This webinar will address how soluble salts such as chloride, sulfates and nitrates can impact the performance of a coating system. The presenter will discuss why soluble salt contamination is often overlooked during surface preparation and provide simple, cost-effective and straightforward solutions for testing and remediation, with suggestions on how these can be incorporated into specifications. Specific functional differences between surface decontamination treatments and flash rust inhibitors will be reviewed, as well as why water alone is ineffective for removing bonded soluble salts
