This webinar presents a scientific approach to the analysis and prevention of common paint and coating failures on industrial structures. It begins with a close look at the structure, composition and properties of polymers used in the formulation of modern paints and coatings, followed by a systematic consideration of failures induced by weather, corrosion, mechanical and chemical influence, light, heat, and other agents.Participants will be eligible to receive credit from SSPC.

Sarah Olthof is the Laboratory Manager for Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI). She is an active member of ASTM, the Bolt Council, SSPC and NACE International and has authored numerous papers on coatings testing.

With almost 20 years of experience testing coating-type materials, Sarah is actively involved in providing comprehensive coating material testing and consultation services to clients in transportation, nuclear, marine, industrial and commercial sectors.
