This annual presentation summarizes environmental, health and safety issues that may impact SSPC members. This paper discusses current and expected EPA and OSHA regulatory rulemaking, emphasis programs, enforcement initiatives or other similar topics. This paper will include a discussion of OSHA's final rule on silica issued in April 2016, proposed and final revisions to RCRA and other proposed or revised regulations related to the coatings industry. Most of the information is taken directly from the respective agency's published regulatory agenda, supplemented by anecdotal information gathered from various professional journals, seminars and conferences.
