A new resin technology incorporated into the Epoxy-Polysiloxane Part A portion of a two-component coating system, using an amino-silane curing agent, has shown significant improvements in flexibility, gloss and color retention. Corrosion resistance and adhesion to non-sandblasted metal substrates has also shown improvements. The new resin technology is suitable for low VOC and HAP’s coating systems. The new resin technology is inherently low in viscosity and this provides benefits during high shear coating spray application. The new resin technology can be incorporated into the grind paste or added as a post-addition to the coating formulation without affecting the coating’s final performance.
