This annual presentation summarizes environmental, health and safety issues that may impact SSPC members. This presentation will discuss current and expected EPA and OSHA regulatory rulemaking, emphasis programs, enforcement initiatives or other similar topics. This presentation will include a review of OSHA’s expected final standards on confined space in construction and silica and other proposed or revised regulations related to the coatings industry. Most of the information is taken directly from the respective agency’s published regulatory agenda, supplemented by anecdotal information gathered from various professional journals, seminars and conferences.
