What generic types of coatings work best as liquid-applied air barriers, considering both cost and effectiveness, and what should be the dry film thickness of this system?

Two coats of epoxy over concrete will do the trick as air barrier. Taking cost and effectiveness into consideration, the system is 1) a 40% solids, water-based epoxy primer to saturate the concrete porosity with good flow. The thickness will depend on porosity, and 2) a 100 % solids, solventless epoxy primer body coat at 300 microns.
