All transition systems supplied by manufacturers should also be closely evaluated for durability in a similar manner as the joining of various building surfaces to create a continuous impenetrable air barrier system is one of the most critical material and application procedures involved in providing proper performance. Apart from utilizing the air barrier manufacturer as an information resource, the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) is a good resource for information surrounding practical field testing of air barrier materials.
