One type of error is neglecting to take readings at edges or corners and bolted connections or fasteners of steel. This is one of the places where NACE inspectors look, as edge retention of coatings tends to be very thin at angles and edges as opposed to other flat surfaces. Use of coatings that have good build properties helps with this condition.
