I believe in a two-fold approach, using both ultrasonic equipment designed to be used with a polyurea in conjunction with proper calibration methods, and, as a cross-check, determining the quantities used versus the area to be coated. I have seen unsatisfactory work done by more than one contractor because of a lack of the correct methodology to insure a proper application, including intentionally reducing material cost.
