I am the facility manager for a new amusement park that will operate year-round in a hot, humid environment. What protective coating system should I select to achieve the longest useful life (cost is a secondary consideration), and what performance can I expect?

We apply coatings from all manufacturers. We evaluate each customer's project (conditions, environment, schedule, etc...) to determine which products will meet the project's needs, as well as provide the longest life-cycle. For complete system restoration or new construction, I would recommend, inorganic zinc primer and PSX 700 siloxane. For maintenance, I would recommend Amerlock 2 surface-tolerant primer and PSX 700 siloxane. It would need to be determined if an existing coating system is compatible, prior to installing any new system over an existing system. With PSX 700 as the topcoat, you can expect a 15- year life.
