Dye stains will typically give you more options for vivid colors than acid- or water-based stains. Unfortunately, most of them are UV-sensitive and not ideal for exterior or areas with high UV exposure. There are some silicate stains that can provide good color, or there are always coatings options (MMA, Polyurethane, PAP).
