Washing with potable water is used to reduce the soluble salt level on steel. However, such water contains low levels of various salts that will deposit on the surface as the water dries. At what point does washing deposit more salt than it removes?

IT is an interesting topic. In my case, I always test the water total salt levels before washing and I keep this as my lowest possible salt level with the owner as a reference.
