What tests and criteria can a coatings user specify to assure consistent lot-to-lot performance of supplied coatings?

From Aajjay Sunkay of ASSETReifurb Engineerrs on November 18, 2019:
Randomly select the two drums of coatings from each lot and test  density, viscosity and hold-up . Record the values of all tests conducted. Collect the certificate for the viscosity, density, and hold- up tests from the coating manufacturer. Compare the test data on the certificate with the results you got when you tested at your end.

From Trevor Neale of Blastco on November 13, 2019:
A method to consider is requesting certificates of compliance for each batch of coating produced. In the case of two-component products, this may require that the results for the combined products be reported. Such demands on the coating supplier should be discussed and agreed prior to the job start-up to ensure the specifier's objectives will be met.
