Is there a place for using “rust convertors” in heavy-duty maintenance projects?

From Erik Andreassen of CPS on June 24, 2019:
I believe there is a requirement; however, the major coating producers are mainly against the use of their products following the use of these converters. Warranty is an issue--unless one company will stand up and say, yes, our products can be used in combination with these rust converters, it's doubtful they will ever be part of a maintenance schedule..
