What pluses and minuses have you seen with using recycled-glass abrasives vs. traditional abrasives?

The big minus in crushed/ground recycled glass is the level of cleanliness. Because the glass is post-consumer, it is extremely hard to clean contaminants from the scrap used. The product is great if the paper and chicken bones don't get crushed with the glass.
