What factors would justify coating stainless steel in water or wastewater service? What standards and methods apply?

Selected Answers

From Sam Burris of Vogt Power Inc on November 3, 2017:
If the storage tank is to be insulated, the exterior may be coated for CUI reasons. If a stainless tank is part of a double wall system where the storage tank is stainless and the containment tank is carbon, coatings may be used to prevent dissimilar metal corrosion.
