What’s the best way to protect porous masonry from graffiti?

Selected Answers

From Brian Hall of Brichem Sales Ltd. on January 3, 2014:
The most effective and least costly graffiti protection over the long haul is by using polysiloxane (silicone technology) coatings that come in clear or in a rainbow of colors, will last for 10+ years and will allow over 95% of all spray paint graffiti to be washed off with plain cold water.
