In Dubai, a $13.6 billion Mohammed Bin Rashid Maktoum Solar Park has completed its fourth phase of construction, including the base of a concentrated solar tower (slated to be the tallest in the world). With the ability to power 1.3 million homes, cutting 6.5 million tons of carbon emissions annually, do you think more countries should be funding these kinds of solar-powered innovations?

Dubai is a desert climate meaning a wealth of sun. Climates in other countries vary considerable. Investing large sums of capital into solar power in rainy climate won't yield positive returns. Bottom line is solar will work well in some areas but not all areas

i believe the government should be funding these installations just like they do on other power generation projects...if it ends up being less maintenance in the long run then that's even better! possibly lower power costs with less power drops and a more stable power grid, i'm all for it.
