A Maryland county is the latest jurisdiction to consider banning pavement sealers containing coal tar and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Should these products be banned?

No. These products are safe when used correctly.
Not so fast! More research is warranted before banning them outright.
Yes. The health and environmental risks are proven.
