It was recently revealed that parts of the site of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster are being converted into a solar farm that can power 2,000 homes. Should renewable energy become commonplace on sites with toxic or radioactive waste risks?


Yes; it’s a good way to use space that can’t be used for commercial or residential building.
No; the risk to workers servicing the facilities would be too great.
