Some local and state governments have moved to punish contractors involved with the potential construction of President Trump’s Mexican border wall by denying them contracts. Is this a fair move?


No. It’s unfair to punish businesses for pursuing contracts just because you don’t agree with the policy behind those contracts.
Yes. It reflects the values of the local population and is a valid way for local governments to protest a policy they disagree with.
