Fresno, CA, recently banned the use of galvanized pipe for water service in new construction and remodels from fears of corrosion and drinking-water contamination. What do you think of this move?

It’s a good idea. Galvanized pipe is outdated and increases the possibility of several contaminants getting into residents' drinking water.
It’s a bad idea. City officials should turn their attention to potentially corrosive water sources and the water treatment process instead.
