November 8 - November 14, 2015

The House of Representatives recently passed a six-year transportation bill, but it includes funding for only the first three years. To “unlock” the last three years of spending authorization, Congress must come up with the money first. If the bill becomes law, where do you think new funding should come from?

Congress needs to raise a specific tax, like the gas tax, or taxes in general to pay for transportation infrastructure.
Congress needs to find a way to spend within the budget from the current tax revenue, and cut projects as needed to fit that budget.
Congress needs to cut something else to fund infrastructure and not raise any taxes.
Congress needs to enact tax reform, either to cut corporate breaks or reorganize money already coming in.
Congress should not fund transportation infrastructure; let private companies pay for highways.
