All the requirement of solar panels will do is drive up the cost of new homes, hurts the lower income population. The maintenance of the solar panels will now become the responsibility of the homeowner, not the utility company. This is all effort be Cali to fix their already messed up environmental laws which cause brownouts, etc.

Not the savings in energy costs are the point here but the benefit to the environment, which is everybody's responsibility
