A recent report indicates that design-build may be on the rise as a contract model for construction projects in the U.S.; do you think more design-build jobs will have a positive impact on the industry?

Design-builds can be great....but the owner has to have a very good idea of what they want up front. We've seen (and other articles here have noted) an upswing in the number of contract disputes / litigations that seems to follow when design-build has increased...and I'd venture to say it comes from delays and changes related to altered parameters after the project starts. Done right, they are fast, efficient and amazing....done wrong, they are a nightmare of re-designs, delays, cost overruns and litigation.
