Oregon lawmakers recently passed legislation requiring that the state’s power grid reduce its carbon emissions by 80% by 2030 and 90% by 2035. When do you think the nation will have similar plans for power grid decarbonization for each state?

Unless we go nuclear power it will never happen.

Bryant, with conventional nuclear, which developed from the want/need for nuclear weapons, the NIMBY crowd will say "no" forever. If we could get some of the nuclear technologies that were mothballed because they couldn't be weaponized (such as thorium based reactors) we could get there (maybe, if the NIMBY folks would actually read up on the science...but considering what the pandemic has shown us, that may not be possible) .
