Initially the impact will be negative but hopefully after a period of adjustment our firm may become more efficient and better utilize the advantages of telecommuting when possible and less travel and in person meetings as video conferencing becomes more accepted and expected and prevalent.

Negative input is that we lose a few personnel work hours each day cleaning and sterilizing. The cleaning should be normal; but the daily and weekly sanitizing. The impossibility to get respirators and filters, gloves, cleaning supplies, etc. is unbelievable, protecting the work force is changing the way we do business. On the good side, some of the hand washing, social distancing, sanitizing, small group meetings, eating out daily, are something we all may should have been doing all along

Michael, I am also hopeful that once we have defeated the current pandemic, there will be greater management understanding and acceptance of remote work where it is applicable.

Here, we're going to be recovering from this and the oil price war for a long, long time. Although we and many clients are still open as we are classed as essential (though with working from home, self-isolations, cleaning and sanitizing and so forth, productivity has taken a hit) many subs are closed. The economy is also taking a big hit with oil in the sub-$5/bbl range (Western Canada Select). Here I think we're going to essentially grind to a halt and have to work really hard to get things started again once the virus concerns start to subside in a couple months...right now, the forecast is that we may lose 1/3 - 1/2 of small businesses due to the shut downs and economic environment.
