Webinar Details Masonry Wall Success

Selecting air barrier systems, through-wall flashings, reinforcement/anchoring systems and other masonry wall components for optimal compatibility and effectiveness will be the topic of a free upcoming D+D Product Profile Series Webinar.

"Sustainability in Masonry Construction" will be held from 11 a.m. to noon ET Aug. 7.

Webinar sponsor Hohmann & Barnard Inc. calls compatibility of products and materials "the single largest issue in masonry wall design." Presenter Chris Bupp, the company's National Director of Architectural Services, will discuss sourcing materials and designating a single contractor to ensure compatibility of all building processes.

The webinar will include discussion of:

  • Air/vapor barrier basics;
  • Applications (fluid-applied vs. sheet-applied products, permeable vs. non-permeable);
  • Using anchoring systems with air and vapor barriers;
  • Compatibility of flashing materials; and
  • Limiting mold problems with moisture management systems.
