The contractor will repair, clean and paint interior walls, ceilings, and fixtures throughout the center.

Walls will be coated with a semi-gloss, pre-catalyzed, water-based epoxy. The locker room and multipurpose room will receive a single coat of latex bonding primer.

Most walls will require two contrasting colors, split horizontally. The walls should be measured 42 inches from the lowest floor elevation to determine the break in color, with the darker shade applied to the bottom and the lighter shade to the top.

In the wet areas of locker rooms, only the ceiling surfaces will be painted. Ceiling surfaces will be coated with semi-gloss latex.

The project includes painting of the multipurpose room (left) and the metal fencing surrounding the outdoor pool.

In addition, all previously painted doors, jambs, sills, and trim will be painted with a two-coat, semi-gloss, alkyd enamel system. Pre-finished metal surfaces such as doors, door frames, and window frames will not need to be painted.

The project also includes cleaning and painting two exterior pillars and a fence surrounding an outdoor pool. Pillar surfaces will be painted with two coats of an exterior acrylic latex. The fence will be cleaned, spot-primed with a rust inhibitor, and painted with two coats of a gloss oil-based industrial paint. The bottom of the fence posts should also be caulked.

Facility equipment, furniture, and flooring should be protected from splatter during paint application. A minimum one-year warranty on the materials and labor is required, according to the bid documents.
