MONDAY, MARCH 4, 2013

High-pressure waterblasting equipment maker Jetstream has introduced the IX100 Series compact system for industrial cleaning contractors.

Jetstream bills the IX100 Series as one of the most compact waterblasting systems in its class.

Jetstream bills the IX100 Series as one of the most compact waterblasting systems in its class.

The system is built on a heavy-duty frame, and Jetstream says it is one of the most compact waterblasting systems in its class. The frame is hot-dip galvanized and features an eight-inch channel.

Features and Characteristics

The IX100 Series system features Jetstream's 20-year-old UNx fluid system technology. With this system, fluids can be installed within minutes and without special tools, with fast conversion between 550 bar (8,000 psi) and 2,750 bar (40,000 psi) operating pressures, according to Jetstream.

The series is also designed with an external drive with helical gears for a quieter, more efficient power transfer compared to a belt drive, and easier maintenance compared to an internal gear drive, according to the manufacturer.

Shutdown systems include low-supply water pressure, dirty water filter, engine fault, manual emergency stop and manual override. All moving parts of fully guarded.

The compact size allows the unit to fit easily on trucks and trailers and in shipping containers, and to be mounted inside enclosures, Jetstream said.
