MONDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2013

Resinous flooring producer Dur-A-Flex has introduced Reflexions, a poured-in-place decorative flooring system that combines the company's resin systems with the latest in effects pigments.

The Connecticut manufacturer says Reflexions, recently introduced at World of Concrete, "produces inspiring one-of-a-kind looks" and maintenance savings.

“Adding effect pigment products to our standard floor offerings allows us to be in the forefront for commercial applications that require a decorative option that outperforms VCT, polished concrete and tile,” says David Hughes, vice president of marketing, research & development.

Hughes said the product requires no stripping and waxing and recoats easily "to freshen the look."

Colors, Applications

Available in 12 standard colors that can be used separately or with accents, Reflexions is suitable for food service, retail, education, hospitality and other commercial and institutional applications.

The product cures to a "smooth, glass-like finish," resists wear and stains, and is UV stable, keeping the color consistent for the life of the floor, according to Dur-A-Flex. Reflexions is CA 01350 air quality and VOC-compliant, making it eligible for LEED credits.

Dur-A-Flex manufactures epoxy, urethane, methyl methacrylate and colored aggregates and high-performance polymer flooring and wall systems.
