Wall Panels Tout Impact Strength

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2013

Sustainable building materials supplier 3form has added four new collections to its Varia Ecoresin line of translucent wall panels.

Made from 40 percent recycled materials, Varia Ecoresin is a non-toxic, sustainable material made from ecoresin, a proprietary material that is GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified. The product is also available with UV stabilization for exterior performance.

Varia Ecoresin boasts 40 times the impact strength of glass, the manufacturer says. The panels are designed to be easy to clean and suitable for a variety of environments

New Collections

The product has four new collections.

Starcrossed features an embroidered interlayer pattern of geometric shapes. Like a collection of constellations, Starcrossed gives the appearance of stars in the sky, joined by a series of intersecting straight lines.

Starcrossed (left) and Borderline round out the new lines, which are designed to be 40 times stronger than glass.

Borderline echoes the linear motion of the Edge ceiling fixture, combining a flow from one plane to the next. Suitable for a linear look with its sliced-and-diced appearance, Borderline is available in four interlayer selections.

Leaf offers a large-scale foliage graphic that feels modern while retaining an outdoor look. Two options are available: either one giant leaf per panel or with several smaller leaves overlapping for a cascade effect.

Mix is a collection of panels that combines interlayer types in an amalgam of intricate linear patterns.

Based in Salt Lake City, UT, 3form manufactures sustainable building materials and architectural hardware for the architecture and design industry.
