Global building products supplier W.R. Meadows Inc. has introduced Hydralastic 836, a one-component, cold-applied, solvent-free, 100 percent solids waterproofing compound.

The product is designed for interior or exterior concrete surfaces that need protection from water intrusion.

The low-VOC, low-odor formulation can be used for horizontal and vertical applications, the company reports.

W. R. Meadows recommends the compound for positive-side waterproofing for foundations and in between slab applications, such as waterproofing planter boxes and plaza decks and sealing parapets.

Other Features

Hydralastic 836 is easy to apply and forms a tough, flexible membrane, according to Matthew Price, president of W.R. Meadows.

“It can be used for both above-grade and below-grade applications and will not crack in extreme cold or slump due to softening in high temperatures,” the company says.

In addition, the product contributes to LEED credits, including Indoor Environmental Quality and Energy and Atmosphere, according to the manufacturer.

Based in Hampshire, IL, W.R. Meadows Inc. manufactures a range of professional building products, including waterproofing, vapor barrier, and air barrier systems.
