New Product Announcement: Epoxy Curing Agent

TUESDAY, MAY 14, 2024

Specialty chemicals company Evonik recently launched a new fast-curing, ultraviolet-resistant epoxy curing agent for flooring applications.

According to the company’s press release, Ancamine 2880 offers excellent mechanical properties, abrasion resistance and color stability with low color and high gloss.

Additionally, the low viscosity curing agent reportedly offers ambient and low temperature curing for easy application, and rapid hardness development allows early walk-on floors.

“Our customers need solutions that provide performance advantages and meet the latest labeling requirements, so we are excited to introduce our new high-performance curing agent in the Ancamine series to the market,” said Christian Schmidt, head of Evonik's Crosslinkers business line.

“Ancamine 2880 addresses the performance gaps found with existing available curing agents and its excellent EH&S profile make it a game-changer for the coatings market.”
