Contractors Needed for OR Research Lab Painting

Clean Water Services in Oregon is soliciting bids for construction and renovations to an existing two-story building.

The submittal date for this project is June 11. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is scheduled for 10 a.m. on May 14.

Scope of Work

This project involves interior renovations and exterior additions to the Research Innovation Partners Laboratory (RIPL) in Forest Grove, Oregon.

Exterior work involves applying a four-coat system of water-based light industrial coating on galvanized metal substrates, including doors, frames and bollards.

Interior work is scheduled to include applying a three-coat latex system on concrete and gypsum board surfaces; a three-coat system of rust-inhibitive primer and epoxy on galvanized metal surfaces; a three-coat alkyd and latex system on specified overhead metal surfaces; and a three-coat alkyd system on wood surfaces.

Surfaces will require preparation in accordance with standards for Hand Tool Cleaning, (SSPC-SP 2), Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3), Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3), Brush-Off Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 7/NACE No. 4), Commercial Grade Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 15), and Brush-Off Blast Cleaning of Coated and Uncoated Galvanized Steel, Stainless Steels, and Non-Ferrous Metals (SSPC-SP 16).

The owner-specified manufacturers for this project include Benjamin Moore, Kelly-Moore, Miller Paint, Rodda Paint Co. and Sherwin-Williams.
