New Product Announcement: Industrial Dispersing Agent

TUESDAY, MAY 7, 2024

Global chemical company BASF recently launched a new dispersing agent made from the company’s Controlled Free Radical Polymerization (CFRP) technology.

According to BASF, Efka PX 4360 was launched at the 2024 American Coatings Show and is compatible with several solvent-based resin systems, enabling formulation of tin- and aromatic-free solutions.

Efka PX 4360 reportedly has a defined polymer architecture to produce optimal coloristics and compatibility across pigments and coatings systems, with improved processability and suitability for aromatic- and tin-free formulations.

“With over 20 years of formulating additives using CFRP, the global introduction of Efka PX 4360 means that customers now have a preferred dispersing agent to formulate next-generation industrial coatings that meet and even exceed the latest performance and sustainability demands from across the globe,” said Randy Brown, Technical Manager, Additives–Dispersions & Resins North America.

The company added that its Dispersions & Resins division develops and produces several strong polymer dispersions, resins, additives and electronic materials across the globe.
