New Product Announcement: Acrylic Coating Polymer

THURSDAY, MAY 2, 2024

Resin and colorant provider Engineered Polymer Solutions recently launched a new all-acrylic polymer for elastomeric wall and roof coatings.

According to the company’s announcement, EPS 2210 conforms to ASTM D6083 standards. It also reportedly ensures low temperature flexibility at -10 degrees Celsius (14 degrees Fahrenheit).

“Our novel polymer was designed to keep white roofs white, by offering excellent asphalt bleedthrough and dirt pickup resistance,” said Brent Crenshaw, Ph.D., Senior Scientist at EPS.

He adds that “this helps decrease the temperature of roofs, which can substantially enhance occupant comfort, lower cooling cost for building owners, and potentially mitigate urban heat island effects.”
