Contractors Needed for TX Admin Building Coating


The City of Waco, Texas, is soliciting bids for the construction and coating a new administrative building.

The submittal date for this project is May 2.

Scope of Work

This project involves construction and painting for the Site 2400 Maintenance and Administration Building.

Exterior work involves a three-coat system of latex rust-inhibitive primer and alkyd on all exterior substrates, including primed metal.

Interior work is scheduled to include a three-coat system of latex on gypsum board, wood and concrete masonry surfaces; a three-coat system of alkyd and latex on metal surfaces; and a two-coat system of concrete sealer on specified concrete flooring.

Surfaces will require cleaning and preparation in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1) and Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3).

The owner-specified manufacturers for this project include Benjamin Moore & Co., Kelly-Moore, PPG Paints and Sherwin-Williams.
