New Product Announcement: Industrial Paint Mixer

Industrial mixing, blending and dispersion company Ross has just unveiled its new reconditioned double planetary mixers for high-viscosity and heavy-duty applications.

According to Ross, the reconditioned Model DPM-4 was restored to as-new working condition to offer the same standard one-year warranty as a new Ross Mixer.

The company states that the newly reconditioned mixers work well with thick and sticky semi-solids as the high viscosity blades can reportedly rotate on their own axes, while orbiting the mixing vessel on a common axis.

The blades reportedly work by moving along the periphery of the vessel, pushing materials forward and downward while transporting product from the sidewalls to the interior. They are then lowered and raised from the mix vessel by an air/oil hydraulic lift.

Additionally, the company notes safety limit switches are in place to help prevent the operation of the drive when the stirrers are in the raised position or when the mix can is removed. This DPM-4 is rated for vacuuming up to 29.5 inches of mercury and can allow for heating or cooling of the batch through the jacketed mix vessel.

Ross adds that companies currently in possession of older Ross Mixers that may have an interest in having their existing equipment reconditioned can contact the company to arrange an evaluation or request a visit from a Ross Regional Sales Manager.
