Contractors Needed for TX Water Tank Repainting

The City of Temple, Texas, is currently seeking contractors for the rehabilitation of a 1-million-gallon elevated water storage tank.

Bids are due Feb. 9.

Scope of Work

The project includes cleaning and recoating the interior and exterior of the tank, as well as tank bowl surfaces.

Interior tank surfaces will be abrasive blast-cleaned to a Near-White Metal (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2) finish and recoated with a three-coat zinc/epoxy coating system.

Exterior tank surfaces will be abrasive blast-cleaned to a Commercial (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3) finish and recoated with a four-coat zinc coating system.

Finally, tank bowl surfaces will be abrasive blast-cleaned to a Near-White Metal (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2) and recoated.

This project also includes logo painting. Containment is required.

Coatings brands specified are Tnemec and Sherwin-Williams.
