Rodda Paint Acquires Paint Manufacturing Company


Paint manufacturing company Rodda Paint has announced that it recently purchased Valley Paint Manufacturing in Woods Cross, Utah. The acquisition was effective Nov. 1.

According to the company’s emailed release, Valley Paint will continue to operate independently in the Salt Lake City area with the support of Rodda.

The release states that Valley Paint will also continue to release products for their existing customers, while also expanding sales and company operations to grow its distribution nationally.

Rodda states that the acquisition will help provide the company and Cloverdale Paint Group—which Rodda is a subsidiary of­—with “high quality people, industrial technology, manufacturing and formulating capacity.”

“It is with purchases like these of great companies with strong reputations that fit our growth strategy, that Rodda Paint Co. in support with the Cloverdale Paint Group, plans to continue to grow our coating network to higher levels,” said Rodda Paint Co. President & COO David Wolf.

Valley Paint was reportedly founded in April 1982 by Russell Swan and Brad Olson, with the intention to fill a gap in the local market for light industrial coatings.
