New Product Announcement: Epoxy Pipeline Coatings
Anticorrosion coatings manufacturer Denso Group Germany recently introduced its epoxy coatings brand, Fortide, for pipeline construction.
According to the company’s release, the Fortide variants are designed for moist surfaces or as internal coatings for tanks or pipelines and have achieved compliance with the international standard, ISO 21809-3.
Denso states that Fortide can be used to rehabilitate pipelines either as a whole pipe coating or for welded joints and complex angles. The products are reportedly defined by coating hardness and indentation strength.
As a brush or spray coating, Fortide products can be applied to the surface in one step and reportedly contains no volatile solvents or isocyanates.
"Epoxy coatings are highly tensile, chemically resistant, fast curing and can provde early commissioning of the pipeline. In addition to its versatile applicability, Fortide meets our demands for simplicity, economy and durability and guarantees what our customers especially appreciate about DENSO: the proven quality Made in Germany", said Thomas Kaiser, Managing Director of Denso Group Germany.
Fortide reportedly offers four solutions, including:
